Excellent
After much research and careful review I went ahead and purchased this matcha. I used to purchase the Maede-en brand from local vendors but as I drink it everyday I wanted to explore other options. I tried a few others that claimed to be organic matcha only to discover it wasn’t real matcha at all and not even pure green tea (hello brown rice filler). The Ryu Mei organic ceremonial grade matcha is my new staple. I have been drinking several cups a day for over a month and still have about 1/3 of the bag left. It tastes great, the texture, color, etc…appears to be the real deal, quality matcha it claims to be. For the poster who mentioned losing product each time they open and close the bag- this doesn’t happen if the resealable bag is open and closed gently, and isn’t a problem at all. In fact I keep a small jar filled for everyday use and store the rest in a cool dry location (try to avoid the spice cabinet…it can alter the taste of the tea!) to preserve freshness.
Far too expensive for matcha.
There’s no reason it should be THIS expensive. It’s good but it doesn’t wash my dishes or fold my laundry, so, next time I’ll buy regular Japanese store-bought matcha.
