Guilt-free dessert
This is my 8th matcha from Red Leaf Tea and again they have come out with a great product. The taste is very true to the custard part of a creme brulee dessert, though the spun sugar top is missing. I imagine that would be difficult to replicate, especially since the texture of that part is so much a part of eating it. I added a bit of sugar and made a hot latte out of this, since that is how I prefer to make flavoured matcha, and it is very good, only the slightest hint of bitterness hiding in the aftertaste and that may very well be preparation error. It usually is with me. Sometimes I can make matcha perfect and other times…not so good. Anyway, this is an excellent dessert flavoured matcha that could make a nice guilt-free dessert offering in your cupboard.
