Not quite mapley enough for me!
This is my third matcha from Red Leaf. I had a huge internal struggle trying to decide which to order (previously I’ve bought French Vanilla and Caramel) and I wanted a third flavor along with my Caramel Matchacchino order (that stuff is also awesome!).

Anyhow, I decided on this, ultimately, because I love maple everything.

It is tasty, and I can tell that there is a sweetness within which takes the edge of the matcha and adds some creaminess to it, however I find it disappointingly short on mapley goodness.

I guess I personally wish that there was more flavoring within the matcha because honestly I barely taste anything aside from a mild sweetness. I know this is one of the more popular offerings from Red Leaf, but I would have liked a stronger maple syrup flavor. I found the French Vanilla a bit lacking in flavor also, The Caramel, however, was good; perhaps the caramel flavor used is just stronger to start with compared to the others.

Just awesome
I love this matcha flavour. I’ve mainly been turning it into a latte by mixing it with some vanilla almond milk in the blender, as it’s a quick and easy treat in the morning. It froths up beautifully, and the maple taste is great. It doesn’t need any sweetener in my opinion. As the previous reviewers have said, I just wish I’d purchased a larger size.

Really Wonderful Sweet Tea
This is delicious. I mean this is absolutely divine. The strength of the maple flavor is not overwhelming and it is just the right amount of sweet to counteract the matcha’s vegetal richness. I am actually saddened that I have only ordered one flavor to try. Maple syrup is my favorite flavor generally speaking, and I found (which was a nice surprise) that this tea lacked any artificial flavoring usually associated with maple flavored foods. Except of course, true maple syrup. I prepared it the way described by Red Leaf Tea Company for making a ice brew. I crowned the 2 oz’s of water with 8 oz of vanilla almond milk with a touch of heavy cream. (I can’t drink regular milk) I ended up tossing in 1 tbs of maple syrup for good measure and made it a little more maple like. It really brought all the flavors together.
