Matcha is one of the most popular teas around. We love the Matcha style and wanted to recreate it with different flavors of teas. We have taken our fabulous loose-leaf Pu Erh Tea and stone ground it into a fine Matcha-style powder. You may not be familiar with Pu Erh Tea. It is a Chinese specialty that involves rolling and drying tea leaves and then fermenting them. Pu Erh Tea is also known as Dark Tea because the tea leaves get darker as the fermentation process works. Pu Erh has much historical significance. Bricks of Pu Erh Tea were used as currency between nomadic tribes, but are now used just for drinking. Pu Erh Matcha has many health benefits tea drinkers will also enjoy. It contains calcium, folic acid and Vitamins B1, B2 and B6. Not only that, Pu Erh tea powder helps with: digestive problems, hangovers from the effects of alcohol, weight loss, increasing the metabolism, reducing cholesterol. Drinking our amazing Pu Erh Matcha will help you feel better as well as give you many of the nutrients you need daily. People said about this Pu-Erh Matcha Tea (60g)
Quality? Maybe. Taste? Not so good
I have tried some pu erh tea that I enjoyed for the unique taste, however this matcha is either bad quality or I would just not recommend this item. I have had red tea matcha and green tea matcha and this does not even come close in taste or the texture whisked in. I would reccomend not getting this type of matcha at all, that’s not to say I don’t like this tea, I love it, that’s why I ordered the medium size one. If I had to rate this tea from one to ten, this would be in the three to four range.
I was a little skeptical forking out so much money for this type of tea since I was well aware of the quality it could be and as well as ‘fake’ or lower grades being sold for good quality matcha. I downright would prefer the lose leaf tea over this.
